We want to support you in guiding your child to do his or her best. Here are some links that we hope you will find helpful as you continue the challenging task of parenting a teenager.

Your active participation in supporting your child at Noble Street College Prep will greatly enhance his/her success. Here are a few things to do as a Noble Street parent:

  • Stay informed about your child's progress by checking PowerSchool frequently.
  • Keep communication open with the school.
  • Support your child's study habits.
  • Become familiar with Noble Street College Prep guidelines in the Parent Handbook.
  • Support your son or daughter's career planning and college search.
  • Help your son or daughter to make wise choices and to cope with peer pressure.

Noble Street's sponsor, the Northwestern University Settlement Association, is a social services agency which provides a broad range of services to Noble Street and neighboring families. Services include assistance with eyeglasses, emergency food pantry, utilities assistance, a Head Start program, mother's club, golden agers group, and after-school program for elementary school students. Contact them at 773.278.7471.

After the students have finished their work, the 312 computer lab remains open for parents to attend classes on computer use. Topics include: Accessing PowerSchool, Computer Basics, Introduction to the Internet, Using Microsoft Word, Using Microsoft Excel, Using Microsoft Works, and others.
